Hello, I am Jay Wildman and I am the current principal of North Elementary and I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to our school and our website. North Elementary is not about me, it is about our students, our families, and our teaching staff. How those people interact and cooperate determines how well our students progress. It is my belief that all of our students can and will learn, grow, and make progress. The extent to which they do learn, grow, and make progress is often determined by the amount of cooperation and communication between those students, their families, and the teachers. So, I want you to know that we expect you to communicate with us. I also expect our teachers to communicate with you.
With our busy schedule and because of building security it is often not possible for in-person conferences, or phone calls during the school day. So, emails and text messages can be utilized during the school day. Parents can also call the office and the secretary can allow you to leave a voicemail message. However, please understand that voicemails may not be heard until after the school day. Communication starts with conversations between the teachers and the parents. Most of the time the principal is not needed. However, there are times when the principal needs to be involved. There are also rare occasions when parents may need to speak directly to the principal.
I am more than willing to speak with anyone about any concerns regarding North Elementary. Call 812-254-8363 or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
