Kinder Camp
What is Kinder Camp?
Kinder Camp is a 5-day program that prepares incoming kindergarteners to be successful. Campers learn basic school and classroom procedures, work on motor skills needed at school, and enjoy social activities with teachers and peers.
Kinder Camp will take place Monday - Friday, 8:00 am -2:00 pm, July 22 - 26, 2024
Kinder Camp was an amazing transition for students entering kindergarten. Students were confident as they entered their classrooms. Teachers were able to make connections with students and families before the school year began.
Alicia Hand, Kindergarten teacher
Who Attends Kinder Camp?
Kinder Camp is for incoming kindergarteners who are registered to attend kindergarten at either Washington Primary or Washington Veale Elementary for the upcoming school year.
How are Students Chosen for Kinder Camp?
When students attend Kindergarten Pre-Registration, students are asked to complete tasks to assess their skills. Based on these results, students will be invited by the school to participate in Kinder Camp.
