A 3-year starter for Hall of Famer Marion Crawley at Washington High School … ball-handling guard of the 1941 and ’42 state champions … twice all-conference…All-State as a senior in ’40 … in 3 years he never played in a losing IHSAA tournament game…played on Toledo University’s varsity as a freshman & team finished second in the NIT … all conference…played professionally for the Idaho Simplots and Louisville Colonels of the American Basketball League.
