Staff Members of the Month - May 2026

STAFF MEMBERS OF THE MONTH MAY 2026
Tori Peterson

Eric Williams, JH Teacher, Nominated by Principal Cody Chapman

“It is a privilege to nominate Mr. Williams for Staff Member of the Month, as he truly serves as a model teacher and leader within our building. Situated right outside the main office, he consistently steps up to help manage the daily "madness" with a calm and willing hand whenever an extra set of eyes or hands is required. His measured approach and veteran wisdom make him an invaluable asset, providing a steady perspective that benefits the entire school culture.

On a personal level, having known him as my teacher, colleague, and now getting the pleasure of serving as his boss, I find his guidance to be an indispensable resource for navigating complex situations. He is quite simply the type of educator, and person, that everyone in this building knows they can turn to for support.”

Carey Bouchie, Teacher at Washington Primary, Nominated by Principal Kristen Murphy

“We are excited to recognize Ms. Bouchie as our Staff Member of the Month at Washington Primary School! Ms. Bouchie is a dedicated first-grade teacher who brings a wealth of experience, passion, and heart to the classroom each and every day.

She has a special gift for connecting with some of our most needy students and truly thrives on being that “Ace” in a child’s life when they need it most. Her patience, consistency, and ability to build meaningful relationships make a lasting impact on students and families alike.

Ms. Bouchie is also an incredible coworker who is always there to support her colleagues and keeps all of us on our toes at Primary! Her positive energy and willingness to help make her such an important part of our school family.

In the classroom, she loves diving deep into science topics and creating engaging STEM opportunities for students. This year, she also stepped into microelectronics leadership roles within our building, doing an outstanding job both with her students and in sharing her learning with staff through professional development.

Thank you, Ms. Bouchie, for the dedication, innovation, and care you bring to Washington Primary every day. We are lucky to have you as part of our Treasure Hunter family!”

Adam Cox, Sodexo Facilities, Nominated by Sodexo Facility Director Graham Giesler

“I would like to nominate Adam Cox for Employee of the Month. Adam goes above and beyond in his duties as athletics groundskeeper and takes great pride in his work. He cares for the facilities and fields as they were his own, always paying attention to detail and ensuring everything is maintained to a high standard.

Adam is resourceful and adaptive in all situations, especially when dealing with the unpredictable weather conditions of the spring and late fall seasons. With schedule changes, he consistently adjusts plans, problem-solves, and works through challenges to ensure fields and grounds are prepared to the highest level possible.

Adam’s dedication is especially evident in the appearance of the athletic fields. He plans and is intentional with the striping and design, helping create a professional and welcoming setting for athletes, guests, and the community. His dedication to doing the job well, regardless of circumstances, make him highly deserving of this recognition.

Thank you, Adam!”
