Our Community Foundation Grants from the Madison C Wagler Endowment for Music
Our Community Foundation recently awarded a grant to the WHS Band Boosters, supporting music education for local students. The grant was made possible through the Madison C. Wagler Endowment for Music, a designated fund held by the Foundation.
The fund was established by Marlin and Laurel Wagler in memory of their son, Madison, whose love of music touched many in the community. The presentation was intentionally held on February 20, the tenth anniversary of Madison’s passing. According to the Wagler family, music played an important role in Madison’s life. Supporting the school programs allows them to transform a difficult day into one that brings opportunity and joy to others.
The Madison C. Wagler Endowment for Music provides a dependable, long-term source of support for both programs and may be used for special initiatives, equipment, performances, or other program needs. It also offers a meaningful way for band and choir alumni, friends, and community members to honor Madison’s legacy through lasting investment in local music education.
