Ready Schools Initiative
Ready Schools helps Indiana Uplands school districts design and implement innovative strategies that prepare students for success in college, careers, and life while aligning education with regional workforce opportunities.
An important component of the Ready Schools initiative is its emphasis on the workforce needs of the region’s leading industry sectors: advanced manufacturing, life sciences, and national security and defense. The goal of this initiative is to enable school districts to engage business leaders, community stakeholders, parents, and students in meaningful dialogue about what success means within their community and to develop a plan to obtain that success. The result is a collaborative approach and a comprehensive planning process designed to support students in achieving their academic and career goals through alignment with workforce opportunities in the Indiana Uplands.
Ready Schools Parent Survey
Washington Community Schools is excited to be participating in the Ready Schools Initiative this year. The goal of the Ready Schools process is to engage business leaders, community stakeholders, parents and students in meaningful dialogue about what school success means and to develop a plan to obtain that success. As our community grows, the result will be a collaborative approach designed to support students in achieving academic and career goals aligned with workforce needs.
Our initial focus this year is on comprehensive data collection. To establish necessary baseline data, ROI has provided a readiness assessment survey. Please take your time and answer each question to the best of your ability. We appreciate your time and your insight.
