Grade Level Centers:
Dr. Dan Roach, Kevin Frank, Brenda Butcher, Caleb Cherry, Tom Lee, and Jay Wildman give an update on the progress in transitioning to grade-level centers.
Washington HS Receives Indiana EARN Grant:
Steve Peterson shares that the College & Career Academy at WHS has been selected for the state's pilot program to match students and employers to work-based learning opportunities via the Employment Aid Readiness Network (EARN) Indiana Grant.
High Schoolers with financial need will have access to resume-building and paid internships while employers receive state matching funds - 50% of the student's hourly rate - for hiring them. Learn More
Branden Burris
Mr. Burris, WHS Band Director, shared with the board the plastic instruments that will be used in the 5th and 6th grade band classes that will be offered at Washington Upper Elementary next year. The PVC Instruments can be played the same as regular instruments, and are very affordable, readily available, and easily disinfected as they can be completely immersed in water.
Eben Lips
Mr. Lips shared with the board information about Future Chefs, the elementary cooking competition for elementary students. The theme this year is “Favorite Recipes from Movies or Television” The Future Chefs Competition will be held March 31, 2022.

The bid for renovations to Lena Dunn/Washington Intermediate will be awarded to Danco Construction in the amount of $389,000.00
Moment Makers
Dr. Roach and Nikki Sparks share information about the upcoming Moment Makers Event. A panel of six distinguished guests will inspire and impact our community with their stories. This is the first annual Moment Makers event. Our theme is Moment Makers in Sports. Our panel of speakers will talk about how sports helped navigate their occupation/career. Our panel consists of Washington High School alumni and new friends.
