Resolution for Stipends

Due to the increase workloads and responsibilities based upon the constantly changing circumstances presented by the pandemic, the Washington Community Schools Board of Trustees would like to compensate employees for the extra work performed and dedication exhibited to the students during the 202-21 school year. 

 

The WCS School Board is providing an appreciation stipend to employees. 

 

  • All Teachers and  Administrators who were contracted by Washington Community Schools, actively worked a minimum of 120 days during the 2020-21 school year, and are currently employed for the 2021-22 school year shall receive a stipend of $1000.00 in recognition of the increase in employee work times and effort necessitated by multiple duties prompted by the COVID-19 pandemic. 
  • All 12-month non-certified employees, including Central Office team, IT Team, Data Coordinator, Transportation Team, Sodexo Maintenance/Custodial staff, Sodexo Directors and their Administrative Assistants who actively worked a minimum of 120 days during the 2020-21 school year, and are currently employed by Washington Community Schools or through the District’s Sodexo partnership for the 2021-22 school year, shall receive a stipend of $1000.00 in recognition of the increase in employee work times and effort necessitated by multiple duties prompted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • Support staff, including Secretaries, Nurses, Instructional Assistants, Sodexo Food Service staff, and Sodexo Custodial/maintenance staff who were employed by Washington Community Schools, actively working for minimum of 120 days, and are currently employed for the 2021-22 school year shall receive a prorated stipend based upon days employed in recognition of the increase in employee work times and effort necessitated by multiple duties prompted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
