We are honored to recognize Tammy Delisle, Bryant Herrernan, and Travis Edwards as our Staff Member of the Month!

Tammy Delisle - Nominated my Mr. Arnold

“Mrs. Delisle a very passionate, self-motivated and intelligent educator.  She takes every opportunity to educate herself with the sole purpose of  providing the absolute best learning experiences for her students. She has taken advantage of many PD opportunities, such as the FABLab in Chattanooga, TN, to strengthen her robotics class and she worked with other educators to help design a microelectronics curriculum with the SCALE K-12 program at Purdue University. She takes on the challenges of coaching the Robotics team and has provided amazing experiences for her students. Mrs. Delisle thinks big and she passes that mindset on to her students.”

Bryant Heffernan - Nominated by Mrs. Murphy

“I'm excited to recommend Bryant Heffernan as our Staff Member of the Month! Since joining Washington Primary, Bryant has fully embraced being a Hatchet, pouring his heart and soul into our school community. His dedication to guiding our resource aides and continually modifying schedules to meet the ever-changing needs of students is admirable. Bryant took the initiative to transform the resource room and learning zone into welcoming spaces for our students. He’s always willing to help in any capacity and has spent countless hours fine-tuning schedules for both students and aides. His commitment to ensuring the best for our students is truly inspiring.

Travis Edwards - Nominated by Graham Geisler

“I wanted to take this opportunity to acknowledge Travis Edwards and his efforts to always go above and beyond what is expected of him. On Friday August 23rd Travis went the extra mile and took time out of his Friday evening to assist contractors and replacing a heat pump in the Washington Upper Elementary building during one of the hottest heat waves in the year, allowing the HVAC system to operate at full capacity over the weekend giving the best possible environment for students and staff members in the building the following week through the remainder of the heat wave. This is nothing new out of Travis and the maintenance staff, their dedication, attention to detail, and pride in their work often go unnoticed, but deserve our recognition! Thank you, Travis.”
