The ID Kit allows parents to collect specific information by easily recording the physical characteristics, fingerprints and DNA of their children on identification cards.

The Indiana Association of Public School Superintendents is proud to partner with the National Football League Alumni Association and the Indiana Association of Chiefs of Police to provide free at-home inkless ID kits for children grades K-4. These kits are provided at no cost to schools or parents through funding provided by the Indiana Attorney General’s Office.

The ID Kit allows parents to collect specific information by easily recording the physical characteristics, fingerprints and DNA of their children on identification cards. If ever needed, this ID Kit gives authorities vital information to assist their efforts to locate a missing child.

These inkless kits are designed to be stored at home by the parents or guardians with birth certificates and important documents. It is important to note that these kits do NOT enter a database, thereby ensuring the privacy and security of the children’s information.

All instructions for these user-friendly identification kits are included in the kit and a QR code is available on the outside of the kit for visual instructions and a brief history of the program.
