Project Overview  

Washington Community Schools invites qualified contractors to submit bids for the replacement of the existing chiller with a Quantech Chiller at the Washington High School Mechanical Room.

Scope of Work  

1. Base Bid: Provide a comprehensive proposal for the following:

  • Demolition and removal of the existing chiller.
  • Replacement of existing Actuated Butterfly Valves. 
  • Installation of the new Quantech Chiller Model QTC4320SXXX46BAVNXX.
  • All labor, materials, and equipment necessary for a fully functioning system in compliance with project specifications including integration into current BAS. 

2. Contingency Allowance: Include a contingency allowance of $5,000 for unforeseen circumstances.

3. Pre-Bid Visit: Interested contractors are strongly encouraged to conduct a pre-bid visit. Please contact Travis Edwards (812) 698-2159 or Graham Giesler at (812) 617-0249 to schedule.

4. Coordination and Meetings: 

  • The contractor will be required to coordinate with the facilities manager regarding work schedules.
  • A pre-construction meeting with school administration is mandatory before commencing any work.

5. Disposal: The contractor is responsible for the proper disposal of all materials removed during the project.

6. Work Schedule: All work must be completed between either:

   - March 24th through 28th, 2025, or

   - May 26th through May 30th, 2025.

7. Insurance Requirements: Contractors must provide a current certificate of insurance.

8. Invoicing: Contractors are required to submit a single invoice with net terms of 45 days upon project completion.

9. Contract Signing: The contract will be executed by the contractor and school administration.

  • All submitted pricing must be detailed, dated, and presented on company letterhead.

Deadline for Submission: Bids must be received by 3:00 PM on December 16th, 2024.
