COVID-19

School Operations During Covid-19 Endemic

2023-2024 School Year

COVID-19 has evolved from a pandemic to an endemic like other illnesses that school districts manage throughout the year such as the flu.

Individuals who test positive for COVID-19 must still notify the school and will still be required to follow the guidance below:

COVID-19 Positive

  • Isolate at home for 5 days

  • Return on day 6 if symptoms improved*

  • Wear a mask in all school settings except while eating or drinking for 5 additional days.

*Must be fever free for 24 hours without fever reducing medication.

Homework and short term virtual learning options will be available to students who are isolating due to a verified case of COVID-19.  Students/parents should communicate with the student’s teacher to make arrangements for completing learning tasks and work while you are absent from school.

In-person school attendance is important for student learning and it is a school district goal to see our K-12 attendance rates improve this school year.  Please continue to practice good hygiene practices like hand washing to reduce the spread of viruses and germs in our school environments.
